SRT (Special Road Tax) is monthly prepaid tax, levied to the owners of Stage vehicle Carriage (Buses) by HP Transport Department on issued route permit bases. A web based application used by the RTO authorities of Himachal Pradesh, Transport Department for issuance of route Permit, and time table. Pathkar also enables the Authority to auto- calculation the monthly prepaid Special Road Tax of stage carriage using defined formulae and its payment collection. SRT is calculated using the Route Permit parameters seating capacity, distance, and type of roads and category of Vehicle. Application also takes care of listing defaulters and calculates their penalty accordingly. Pathkar helps the department authorities for tracking the defaulter owner and generating notices against them.

FAQs

As per HP Motor Vehicle Act, 1999 monthly prepaid Special Road Tax (SRT) is imposed on the Stage carriage vehicle i.e. Private and State Roadways Buses.

This SRT is calculated using formulae on Route permits parameters like category of road (National highway, state Highway, plain etc.), distance of category wise road, type of bus (ordinary, deluxe and semi deluxe etc.) and seating capacity. Day wise penalty on monthly prepaid SRT is also accumulated after 15th day on months in case tax payers not pays the monthly tax upto 15th Day of month

Tax payer can Visit the concerned RTO Office or Pay online without visiting RTO office through this Portal https://pathar.nic.in .

Firstly tax payer should register with provided Computerised Permit Number and Registration number and set the password. After that with login credentials (Permit Number as User Id) should do the monthly SRT payment.

Tax payer or owner should opt the Verify option in 1-2 days if Money is deducted but still payment is pending. After opting Transaction Verify option if Monthly tax shows the pendin than Tax payger or registered user should contact the concerned RTO.
